Junior Eliminations Round One Updates

The Guelph Silvercreeks  got a complete game out of Liam Rivard as the Creeks bats came alive in the top of the 5th inning winning by the OBA mercy rule 15-5 over North  York

Brampton Royals 1   defeated the High Park Braves 6-5 on a walk off

East York defeated  Brampton 2   8-2  Sam Salemi Complete Game for East York

Oakville defeated  the host Oshawa Legionaires 8-1

Mississauga North 1  edged Whitby 4-3

Tecumseh defeated Leaside 8-4

Pickering-Ajax – Defeated Hamilton 8-5

Windsor knocked off Scarborough – No Score Reported

Update

It has been an exciting season of baseball in the Junior Intercounty Baseball League, and this past weekend saw the regular season come to a close with the re-introduction of the JICBL All Star Game that was held in Guelph, Ontario. The format for this game was 1st place, 3rd place and 5th place combine to make a team that faces off against a team formed of the 2nd place, 4th place and 6th place all-stars. Under this format, 9 players (6 position players, 3 pitchers) from each of the Kitchener-Waterloo Jr. Panthers, Port Dover Clippers and Stratford Indians played a team composed of 9 players from each of the Guelph Silvercreeks, Brantford Jr. Red Sox and Hamilton Jr. Cardinals. This game resulted in an 11-3 blowout win by the 1-3-5 team over the 2-4-6 team.
