SWSBL 2016 Preview


This is a tough league to follow at times due to the lack of websites and stats for most teams. I have added links to best places for team information. Here is a preview of the 2016 SWSBL season in order of 2015 standings:


Strathroy Royals (http://strathroyseniorroyals.com/)

The Royals have won back-to-back league titles and look to make it a three-peat in 2016. No news on additions or subtractions from this roster, but the team is definitely a tough opponent. Continue reading


GTBL Senior Preview

The GTBL had three major offseason happenings.

Bolton was approved as a full time member, and after one complete season, has full voting rights in offseason league meetings.

The GTBL will play a yearly rotating home and home series with teams from Quebec. In 2106 Leaside, East York and Thornhill will travel to St. Jean, June 3-5.
2017 will see three or more Quebec teams visit Toronto the same weekend in the newly created provincial exchange. If all goes well, the yearly flip flop will continue.. Continue reading

Maple Leafs 2015 Season in Review

Even before last October’s now infamous bat flip sent throngs  of Torontonians’ into a full blown baseball frenzy ,  the other baseball team that calls Toronto home made some noise of its own  coming within of game of knocking off the now two time defending Intercounty Baseball League champions the Barrie Baycats.

2016 Junior InterCounty Baseball League Preview

Leading up to the 2016 season of the JICBL, here is a preview of what to expect this season from around the league. The teams making up the league this year are: Kitchener Jr. Panthers, Guelph Silvercreeks, Port Dover Clippers, Hamilton Jr. Cardinals, Stratford Indians and Brantford Braves. The playoff format is receiving a slight tweak this year, as the top 4 teams will make the playoffs, and then two rounds of best of 5 series’ will be played for the championship.   Continue reading
